A QUICK GUIDE TO COMPLETING THE AIT-2 APPEAL FORM

  • The deadline to appeal is 28 calendar days from the date you were served with the decision. The Visa Section or the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal in the UK, must receive your appeal by the end of this period. In accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal (Procedure) Rules 2005, you must not send your appeal to both locations.
  • You should send your notice of decision with the Form AIT-2.
  • Form AIT-2 must be completed in English. It is in your interest to complete this form as thoroughly as possible. A contact address in China must be written in English and Chinese characters; postal codes must be included.
  • The appellant or your representative (if you have one) must sign form AIT-2 (Section 6). A Form AIT-2 submitted without a signature will be returned to you.
  • All supporting documents submitted with a Form AIT-2 must be in English or accompanied by a translation into English and signed by a translator to certify that the translation is accurate.
  • All supporting documents you have listed on Section 7 of the Form AIT-2 must be clear and legible copy.
  • Use A4 size paper only for supporting documents.
  • Do not use staples, however paper clips are acceptable.
